American entrepreneur Charles Hoskinson, co-founder of Ethereum and Cardano, reported being the victim of an attempted extortion by event organizers in Argentina. In a video, Hoskinson highlighted the recurrence of corrupt practices in Latin America and expressed his concern about the scandal surrounding $LIBRA and the accusations of corruption in the Argentine presidential environment.

In his statements, Hoskinson expressed his support for Javier Milei, warning the Argentine president about the people surrounding him and suggesting that some of them might have taken advantage of his lack of knowledge about cryptocurrencies. Hoskinson described his experience in Argentina as frustrating and detailed how he was asked for money to organize a meeting with Milei, which he firmly rejected citing the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

The entrepreneur also criticized the Kip Protocol platform and individuals close to Milei, suggesting possible unclear intentions. Hoskinson expressed his desire for the facts to be clarified and for bad practices to be avoided in the Argentine business sector.
